Here is some useful info about blacksmiths:

Let’s assume we have bought a shop artifact which costs 10000 and its durability is 100. It means that the price of a single combat is 100 gold. (10000 / 100 = 100)

Since we really love battles, the artifact is already broken and we send it to a smith who repairs things with specific efficiency % (X%).

After the repair our artifact has a reduced durability X, it means we have to pay 100 * X / 1.01 gold (including 1% imperial taxes) in order to have the same price of 100 gold for a combat. By the way, a shop artifact repair price is 95% of its own shop price or 95/97% of the market price.

Here is a table of different repair efficiencies X (%):

If the artifact was bought in the artifact shop:
Repair efficiencyDeclared repair price
1010,4
2020,8
3031,2
4041,6
5052,1
6062,5
7072,9
8083,3

If the artifact was bought in the market:
Repair efficiencyDeclared repair price
1010,2
2020,2
3030,3
4040,4
5050,5
6060,6
7070,7
8080,8

As a conclusion, we can say that if we pay a repair price (%) equal to repair efficiency, we will always have some profit.
