You can find a lot of helpful information about the current event here:
1. You can equip cheap artifacts to participate in the battles of the lowest cloud levels. Modified artifacts are not necessary at the beginning, they should be used at higher cloud levels.
2. You can participate in the battles if you are in Green Wood, Shining Spring, Eagle Nest, Ungovernable Steppe or Sunny City.
3. Total number of cloud levels is still unknown.
4. If you win, you have access to the higher level. Further armies become stronger. As you see, Wizards are our opponents. You can look at their creatures here:
5. You can gather cloud essence during the battles and distribute it in order to make your army stronger. The higher is the cloud level, the more cloud essence can be gathered. You can’t rearrange the distributed cloud essence!
6. Don’t forget that it is possible to battle in up to two levels below the current maximum. It is not recommended to try to reach the highest levels as soon as possible.
7. Any creature in your army (random faction) can get different kinds of armaments after the battle (+1-2 attack, defence or initiative). These armaments are valid in any kinds of battles. It looks like the armaments will be valid forever. Examples:
